Not really. Only certain Ins Cos (and fewer repair facilities) "report" damage to Carfax. If a vehicle is listed as repaired, it has been, if it is listed as undamaged, it still may have been wrecked...

Sent our eBay friend a message suggesting that if the front end damage was repaired properly, he shouldn't be afraid to disclose it, but since the paint looked like Maaco, maybe the repair was cheap...

Supernatural, I have run into - and fixed - various issues over the ownership of this car. Not unusual given the age and mileage of these cars - and the fact that mine has sat in a non-drivable...
