Not really,

that was out the door.

The tech said the diagnostic took 2 hours. so installation plus the parts

I was expecting 500 or so, but Im in a bind. Hence....

So I had it towed to the dealership.

Charged me 2 hours of diagnositic time.

Found out it was the crank position sensor. the one to the left of the alternator.

Grand total. 719 out the door....

Can Someone please point me to the sensor list? and where they are located...

BTW, in checking sensors, do I just plug to voltmeter to the sensor? Continuity only?

Sorry for a late resurrection of this thread.

So here is what we tried so Far:

Replaced coolant Sensor
Sprayed Starter fluid. (smelled Fluid on the tailpipe after)

Update: rolled to a flat surface: No start.

Replaced the new coolant sensor with the oldone and vice versa: FAIL
Cranked hard continously: Fail

Parked it in a garage and far from home. Friend...

Does the cleaning of the crank sensor require removing the alternator?

I have to wait on the flat surface.... Batts dead. Girl had to take the other car...

Yup. I had the rear seat down.

No did not replace the old one. It looked pitted and crusted.

Is there a way to diagnose fuel pump issues?

Okay.

I have a hard starter and read the posts this morning. Here is what happened

Changed the coolant temperature sensor.
Cranking, fully charged and linked to the SUV.
I can hear the fuel...

It was my axel boot and the Lower control arm is shot.

Was there not a series on bushings as a set from energy?

Im stumped.

I get clanking noise as I turn to the left and only from the left wheel.

I only get the noise as I press the gas when I turn.

No Gas, No noise as I turn.

Okay.

To troubleshoot here is my strategy.

Jackstand the cars.
remove drive shaft
turn wheels by hand.

If the front or rear wheel does not turn, then I can conclude its that differential.
