Sorry to say that this isn't a for long fix, seems that all that powder that gums up the bushing is the brushes wears out. Now I'm in need of new ones or replacement motor:mad:

Ye ha, just did this "fix" and have to say this works great, if you've gotta finicky fan try it. Hardest part is the contortions I needed for the removal of the screws, very worth it. :)

The non turbo legacy auto you found is a 4.11, not a 3.90. The legacy Turbo received the only 3.90 AWD auto phase 1 4eat in the states......not true, no disrespect Nate, but I just swapped a tranny...

Tranny switch on trans lined up correctly, is the park light lit, try in neutral, anything wrong in those areas will not let it crank.......G

I would remove the stub from the axle, put a new circlip on it and reinsert it into the tranny to the correct position the reinstall the axle...................G

fuseable link is in the fusebox under the hood, just look at the diagram on the box top, make sure your cables are clean and tight, from what you've said there should be no problem with the fuseable...

Mine is always caused by low battery voltage, it clicks I check, its below 12, I charge she starts, although probly one day it will not, cheers all...................G
