I have an LS1 and a SVX... I dont mind taking a few measurements if you need. The LS1 is out of the firebird atm or I can take measurements off of an LS6 block I have lying around. Just incase...

The "wire" is inside the tailshaft housing... you will have to do a little dirty work to get to it... but if your that far, you might as well replace the selonoid while your there.

You might be able to use your emmision...

You might be able to use your emmision plumbing/vacuum routing sticker (underside of hood) to help you locate it... The EGR Vacuum Selonoid is near the fuel pressure regulator under the passenger...

The EGR is the Exhaust Gas Recirculation Valve... if it gets stuck/broke or the selonoid the ECM uses to control it gets stuck/broke... the car will run...
