Re: Paint code 372

Yes, we are going to match the colour to the faded fuel filler cap. I was really just surprised to see the tin say "bright red". I'd heard of the brilliant red but not bright red and was amazed to...

Paint code 372

I've just found the 1st rust bubble on my car and decided to have it taken care of ASAP. I though my car was Barcelona Red paint code 372 and the garage painted it with Subaru 372. Went to pick the...

Re: Silla A/C condenser

Well if some kind soul in SoCal, Arizona, Southern Utah or Nevada could take delivery I could collect it from them. Just a thought!

Re: Silla A/C condenser

Just tried them again and Auto Parts Warehouse, they won't ship to hotel addresses either. Does a Silla or Kool Vue agent in the South West? It's 1/10 of the price of buying from Subaru UK, that'll...

Re: Silla A/C condenser

Unfortunately I'm on a fly drive and not staying at any hotel for more than two days. I'm not sure how easy it'd be, just thought direct might be easier?

Silla A/C condenser

I tried a few weeks back to buy a condenser from J C Whitney but they don't ship overseas. I'm on vacation in the States and thought I could pick one up when in Vegas or Phoenix. I've been to...

Re: Some Troubleshooting help please

Mine is the same, even after I changed the temperature sensor. I have found that on the very odd time that she doesn't startthat flooring the accelerator then cranking it will have it firing every...

Re: SVX and Delorean at gas station. What are the odds?

Zero odds here in the UK. I'd just love to see another SVX! Did he take any pics of your car?

Re: Comments you hear

I found my boss in the company car park yesterday taking pics of my car on his phone. Knowing I'd moved all the fencing to make a parking space I thought I was in trouble. When I asked if everything...

Re: Source for new AC compressor

Excuse my ignorance but doesn't that mean the connectors will be different?

Re: Source for new AC compressor

I thought there was a change in these from 94-95? This is showing that it the same fit for 92-97.

Re: Poor man's Ferrari!

Yes, 'twas sarcasm but it is indeed my car. It's got a new registration number and 19" wheels now but the paint is still as good. Oh, and the radio cover still wobbles!

Re: Poor man's Ferrari!

Well there's not quite as much lag on that car now since I had the Ecutune chips fitted (and I've taken both turbos off!). Thanks for the posting I've seen my car in a magazine before and now she's a...

Re: Air con compressor

Thanks to everyone for their help. Looks like someone from the UK Svx Yahoo group has one going spare which should mean no modifications will be required.

Air con compressor

Having searched the forum so already: can anyone confirm for sure that the air conditioning compressor from a 92/93 will not fit my 1996.
I've found one on Ebay from a 1992 and a 1993 from a...

Re: ECU tune Transmission control unit?

I'm having my TCU upgrade and stage 1Av1 fitted tomorrow. Can anyone tell me whether I should still drive in 3 round town or can I use D as nature and Subaru intended?

Re: black rims, red calipers?!

I do like that second pic, with the black centres and the silver rims. My mechanic has been suggesting that; now I can see why.

Re: 10,300 Dollars !!

Mine has 116,000 miles on it but is in much better condition than THAT. It's all very well having low mileage but not at the expense of letting the car sit and rot!

Re: Starts funny

Mine is EXACTLY the same. It doesn't seem to like it when the temperature is around freezing point though not always. I think I'll buy that coolant temperature sensor AND some injector cleaner!
