Re: Show us your home electronics!

Kinda interesting to see how times have changed in 10 years since the original post. :D

Re: EG33 - Rebuilt ready to drop in

If you still have it in August I will consider it. Currently the house is under construction so liquid funds are all tied up at the moment.

Re: EG33 - Rebuilt ready to drop in

Hi Greg, been a long time. That's an awesome deal. It's a bummer you're far enough that shipping would be a decent expense. Good luck with the sale!

Re: Do you see what I see?

That's pretty incredible detail. The play-through video was making me nervous enough to watch the temp gauge, but luckily it didn't spike into red with the engine pinned to the upper RPMs :)

Re: Reliable SVX mechanic in or near New Jersey. Need help.

Whatever you do, do not take your car to MD auto in town. When I first bought my car in high school it was taken there, and they did not have experience with the svx. After a routine transmission...

Re: Now I've gone and done it

Space was not its forte' but I somehow made it work. Only thing I would say i disliked was the run flats that lasted only 20k miles before wearing out. While I still had plenty of tread, had to take...

Re: Now I've gone and done it

I had the 30si on my z4 when I had it. Was really balanced and a fun car. Didn't leave me wanting more power at the time.

Re: 1994 Laguna LS-i AWD for sale near Portland, OR

Sorry to hear you're selling. I keep seeing these PNW svx's with no rust and it makes me want to fly out for work, and take a few days off and drive it cross country back home. Good luck with the sale

Re: Thanks to SVXfiles' customers....

I think a certified letter is in order provided that there is a clause that there is no responsibility claim after X number of days.

Also, my silver could use a fresh spare motor :D:D:lol:

Re: Plans for the new SVX

4.44's are in the 97-99 (phase 1 transmissions, non-vtd, and correct me if I'm wrong on the years) 2.5 liter motors from the legacy, outback and forester. You do lose out on the high gearing for...

Re: SVX in PS2 game

Very cool. I hear a lot (no pun intended) about the Jamos. I thought that they were only available in Europe. How do you like em?

Re: Return of the SVX ????

Not bad. Something about the blocked off front screams Mazda 6.

version 3 (rough fidelity). I think lowering the window angle downward, shrinking the wheels and fender down, it will get better.

Re: Repairing damaged fake wood

I've also done clearcoat on mine a long time ago to revive it. I messed up the radio cage though so that is the only part that didnt come out good.

Re: Quarter panel rust repairs

Would you mind sharing rough ballpark of cost to repair both sides? Are we talking under a grand or over a grand? Feel free to PM if you would prefer to not make that public. Thanks!

Re: What have you done to your SVX (or other Subaru) today?

I already had replaced the ignition switch which helped, but then it started coming back over the years. After reinstalling my engine last summer, I continued to have an intermittent slow crank,...
