Sometimes starter clicks but doesn't crank

Sometimes when I start her the starter will click when I turn the key, but it won't crank. If I turn the key off and on again enough times it will likely fire. It's almost as if the starter is...

Re: Orange svx!!

That car looks like Michelle's (I think this was her name) who lived in Grand Junction, CO. I'm not sure if she's still on here or sold it or what.

Re: In dash cup holders..

I have done just that. In the 97 (gen) Legacy, the cup holder is right above the stereo. When I replaced my old one, I noticed all kinds of sticky crap on it. Most likely soda, coffee and god knows...

Re: What have you done to your SVX (or other Subaru) today?

I used to have the port forwarded in my router so I could access it remotely. Actually, you can search google for unsecured IP cameras. Now, I just have it set up to send emails when motion is...

Re: Custom Information System

I believe there are ODB readers with bluetooth that will send such information to your smart phone. It looks like the one below doesn't support Android or IOS, but you can look around at different...

Re: Got my new windshield installed today

The $250 was mainly the cost of the glass. They were not able to reuse the old molding so they installed a new one. I don't think this added much to the cost. The windshield doesn't have any tint,...

Got my new windshield installed today

Total cost $250 including tax. The custom molding they used looks stock. I'm very happy with the results and will post some pictures when it's light outside and when I'm able to take the tape off.

Trying round 2. Travos in Thornton. Scheduled for Tuesday. They said they could custom fabricate a molding. Plus, I had to show off my new avatar.

Re: Seeking contact details for 'Alcyone Lunacy'

I would have opened a dispute through paypal. They likely would have refunded your money.

Re: I scratched the outside of my windshield

Unfortunately, it's a no go. The molding isn't sold from the dealership like they said, and they refuse to fabricate anything because it's a liability issue for them and they think it would...

Re: I scratched the outside of my windshield

Thanks for this info. It's getting installed today so I'll pass that on to the installer. I would be quite upset if I got water leaking in.

Re: I scratched the outside of my windshield

The place is called complete auto glass. I don't think it's nation wide. Places like safelite tend to be really expensive. I'll take some pictures once it's installed. The windshield is...

Re: I scratched the outside of my windshield

Sean486, unfortunately I only have liability auto insurance. Unless you think home owners would cover it. However, it'd be hard to explain why they only scratched the windshield and not the rest of...

Re: I scratched the outside of my windshield

That's what I figured. I was quoted $261. Think I'll go this route as I had some pretty bad cracks in it anyway.

Angry I scratched the outside of my windshield

We had some pretty crappy weather here today (ice and snow). The SVX handled flawlessly, but I didn't have an ice scraper to clear my windshield, so I stupidly used a metal t-square. Here is the...
