Re: Parting out a 94 SVX, minus the motor, harness and ecu

I'm looking for the switch that is on the A/C line next to the radiator on the passenger side. How about $30 for both and I can pull it myself. I live in Prince George.

Re: Smoke from engine compartment. Please help.

I had the exact same problem, if you check your power steering line coming off the rack on driver side it runs close to the sub frame. Mine was barely touching it and the line had a small pinhole...

Re: Brand new problem (scary!)

Had the same problem. One of the wire harness plugs on the passenger side came loose. Cleaned plug and safety wired the plugs together so they don't come loose again.

Re: 4.44 Swap Finished; Complete with horrible problematic sound

I have seen some weird things on cars, but the sound in your video sounds like a bad bearing. I would disconnect your drive belts to try an eliminate any sounds from rotational objects. If you have...

Re: need help replacing rear pads/rotor

Soak it down with oil near the clips and then pry it out of the slot. If you mess them up rockauto sells then for under $10.

A/C Problems

Since its winter time I figure it would be a perfect time to fix my A/C. I narrowed down my problem to the trinary switch, it seems to have shorten out and causing the wires to burn up if its plugged...

Re: Soldering the MAF

I had the same problem, I would give it gas and it would not increase RPM until the pedal hit a certain point. I did re-solder the points from the how-to, but I noticed another joint that dis-bonded...

Re: Coolant leak

Had the same problem last week, though it was the water pump gasket, so I replaced the gasket since the water pump looked new. Come to find out it was the water pump weep hole, once it was all back...

Re: Left field fuel saver.

The only problem with cutting the same 2 cylinders off would be the buildup of oil on the cylinder walls, and depending on how long you drive like that it might fowl out the spark plugs. I found some...

Re: Tracking down the latest leak

I just replaced every hose on this vehicle, and those transmission hose above the left cat can be accessed if you take the wheel off and get a long extension and a 8mm socket. I would replace those...
