How do you interpret the month by month production figures. Is the chassis number, the first one produced that month, or the last?

I think also there might be an overlap between CXD and CXW. So...

The S40ii model has a dark grey interior, similar to the US L model (so I'm told). Acutally it's the woodgrain trim but covered with grey paint.

Everything inside an S40ii is grey. I'm just glad...

My 92's both have 2 as the first digit of the paint code. My 94 has 4.

It says 1994, which confirms what I said earlier about CXW005082 being manufactured June/July 1994.

All JDM models were for domestic consumption. That's what Japanese Domestic Market...

I think the "A" in the code means the year that the "type" was first produced. Not the year the car was produced. The VE, S40 and S40ii are all considered to be the same type, and that type was first...

Did you see the link that Silverspear posted in the oem rarities thread. There's a picture of the VIN plate from an S40 model. Applied model code CXWA23E option code 7XC.

What do we think about the first digit. Does it reflect the model year? CXW002xxx for MY92. CXW003xxx for MY93 etc? It seems to me that 5002 and 6002 are a bit too coincidental for it to be anything...
