the path is to hold the ratchet next to the trans, with the long extension running slightly over the top of it and pointed up a little, it's hard to see from the ground but if you have a second...

if you have a long extension and a wobble socket you can get it from underneath the car

save yourself some time and just jump positive battery power to the signal wire on the starter, if nothing happens smack it with a hammer.
