oil starvation/bearing failure

I just lost my engine to oil starvation. Crank and rods are junk. Maybe the heads can be saved.
There are tiny flecks of orange/red shiny material around the filter which may be from the...

Re: Dyno Graph

I'm afraid not. I was aware you had cams and ecu chips but not pistons. A subaru tuner ordered these from JE.

Re: Dyno Graph

Bob,
That's interesting. This was a Subaru tune shop and at the end of the session, he said that the 3.3's output was very close to the output of a stock STI. Sounds like the figures are pretty...

Re: Dyno Graph

Bob,
Why do you say "especially on a Mustang dyno"? I am not sure whether to trust their #'s.

Dyno Graph

For those who might be interested, here is a dyno graph on my mid mounted 3.3l late model corvair project. Mods were forged pistons(11-1), long tube headers, ported heads, mild cam running on...

Re: electric water pump for my eg33

An update on the cooling issues with my mid engine project.
Early on, if I used a Tstat, I couldn't get the system to flow so I took the Tstat out. The system flowed but when I ran up the revs, the...

Re: electric water pump for my eg33

When I welded in the inline thermostat housing, I plumbed a T just before the thermostat for a bleeder valve and a circulation hose that is connected to one of the circulation outlets on the pump. ...

electric water pump for my eg33

I know there is a huge thread on overheating which I read a lot when building my eg33 for a mid engine project. The changes I made were to move the thermostat from the inlet to the return side of...

Re: Were Should I Spend my EG33 Dollars to Kick Ass.

Bob,
I agree. Went back and checked my notes. What was recommended to me was 1.75" into 2.5" with 25-26" long primaries. I think the builder talked me into 2" into 2.5 to better match the opening...

I just noticed these on evilbay and came on the forum to find out what tuners thought.
So what's the consensus? Seems to me that to be effective, intake and exhaust needs to be separately...
