Does the engine actually shut off? Do you have to turn the key to get it started again? Or is the only symptom that the power steering cuts out?

I'm not positive, but I think something in the cable or mechanism needs lubed... :)

The ease in doing this depends on if your heat shield was reinstalled the last time your transmission was out....

You didn't get all of the air out of the coolant. To make it easier, park with the nose pointing up a slight hill or even on ramps.

I tried installing the axle like that once, the axle doesn't work as well as a "push" slide hammer, since then I've used a rubber mallet or block of wood and hammer to reseat the stub, then install...

The diagram gives a SOA part number of 806730032, I searched for that number on Rock Auto and got 2 matches, Timken 223050 and SKF 11636, is that what you got?
