Ah Futz.

Finally took it to Subaru. Just as I thought. It is my front Diff. What a burn. Only 44,000miles on this tranny. Nothing to really cause it. Only 94,000miles on the car!!!

Still drives...

Thanks for the advice and B-day wishes. I have parked it till I take it over to a mechanic as the weather has been nice on the West Coast. I will let you know the diagnosis.

Never. I would not give up the safety of the SVX to be squished in an Echo. I have a long commute each day so the SVX is comfort, style, power and safety.

My poor SVX turned into a Siv. At least it took 86,000Miles of synthetic and then just like that the cam seals went in October and now my valve covers and rear main is just starting... :mad:

All the reviews on the SVX beeing in the VW Westies seem to say finally an engine that matches the van. It is sad how people give up on these cars when the tranny's blow and dump them on Craig's List...

84,000 Miles on the car. Paid $1500 at Subaru to get the belt done 3 years ago :( Oh well. It has hardly lost anything yet but I am keping an eye on it.
