Re: the newest thing NOT HID / but LED

Completely understood. However this same thing can (and will most often than not) happen with a halogen projector and an HID retrofit kit. From my experience and understanding, the HID aftermarket...

Re: the newest thing NOT HID / but LED

LOL Tom :D

I've had a chance to play with some of the new Hella LED lamps, and while the theory behind them is great (and it is awesome to see it applied to headlamps), I'm still not convinced. ...

Re: Reading 14, April 2013 sign up list

Just figured I'd update you all. At this point I'm about 50/50 on whether I'll be at Reading or not. Currently leaning towards not, however we shall see. With the demise of the new Legacy (the...

Re: I'm tired.

And this is one of the main reasons why the system is broken.

Landshark, I completely understand where you are coming from with the Obamacare issue. I'm in a similar boat with health problems,...

Re: LAUGH if you want... but I AM DOING IT!!!

I'm curious to hear about these as well. I looked into them in the past myself, and only saw good reviews. With a bit more digging I was able to find out that the parent company of API (the...

Re: I'm tired.

I usually refrain from political disussions, but after reading through this thread I feel I have to weigh in with my 2 cents:

The fact of the matter is that the last 2 elections (at the very...

Re: What I've been up to: new daily driver acquired: 97 Legacy GT wagon

I said the driveshaft wasn't balanced from when the transmission swap was performed, which was what I was told by the previous owner (who was/is a member here and is well known). At no time did I...

I believe I've said it before, but I will say it again: I 100% fully stand behind this product:

Re: What I've been up to: new daily driver acquired: 97 Legacy GT wagon

Again, I will not comment on this. You know my position, as the SVX ran excellent for me, and was trouble free beyond the coil that went. I would have loved to keep it, but you of all people know...

Re: What I've been up to: new daily driver acquired: 97 Legacy GT wagon

not getting into this. I've said what I had to say on the matter, and you know where I stand. And I still feel the car was worth the money, regardless. And AFAIK, lemon law applies only to dealer...

Re: What I've been up to: new daily driver acquired: 97 Legacy GT wagon

Magnuson Moss Act (i.e. federal Lemon Law) does apply to used cars from what my research has turned up. It has to do with implied vs. written warranties, but I'll leave it to you to do the research,...

Re: What I've been up to: new daily driver acquired: 97 Legacy GT wagon

I'd love to swap in an EG33 but currently not an option. May not have the car for much longer anyway, lemon law claim starting. Definitely some major issues with the car, the timing belt/water...

What I've been up to: new daily driver acquired: 97 Legacy GT wagon

Picked up a week prior to last Thursday (10/11). Definitely like it, more or less the same as the Outback was, slightly lower ground clearance. Also my understanding (as confirmed by Old Tom) that...

Re: 97 Leg. Outback wagon - Anyone need any cheap parts before I scrap the car?

What he said :D

Think I found my replacement Subaru, and if I'm correct its a somewhat rare Limited model. Its a 98 Outback Limited with AWP, but both sunroofs are electric, which from my...

Re: 97 Leg. Outback wagon - Anyone need any cheap parts before I scrap the car?

Been a crazy week, but the car went off to its new home (and Legacy, pun intended :D) last Sunday. Engine will live on in the buyer's 97 Outback with 316k and kicking hard :p Shame to see it go,...

Re: 01 outback H6 engine cover in SVX

I never said it was a good idea ;)

Just a passing thought really. Im 50/50 on the cheap plastic covers. In some ways they make the engine bay look cleaner. In other ways though, they are...

01 outback H6 engine cover in SVX

Just kinda spitballing an idea here, but looking at the H6 cover in the outback's makes me wonder if it would be possible to swap the cover over to the SVX, and if so what it would look like...

Re: 97 Leg. Outback wagon - Anyone need any cheap parts before I scrap the car?

May very well be, but I'm pretty certain that's not the only issue. When I went to get out of the parking lot at my friend's shop yesterday, I couldn't push it backwards, all 4 wheels were locked up...
