Re: Winched onto a flatbed in gear....
Well, the belt isn't jumped. Or at least what I think you mean by jumped. The engine runs fine, of couse aside from the smoking... A pulley is pushed out, far enough to push open the cover and rub...

Winched onto a flatbed in gear....
Here's where the horror story starts....
I have an electrical issue with my 95 where occasionally on a wet day some strange things happen. My alarm may go off while driving or I may have a short...

Which block/gasket sealant is least evil?
Before you spit your beverage on the screen, this is not going into an SVX. My gal pal has a 99 Mazda Protege with big issues. Blown head gasket or a cracked block. There's exhaust gas or oil smoke...

Re: DIY power mode switch?
I tried getting back up there to do it without pulling the dash, my problem is that the TCU harnesses are taped and wire tied together rather tightly and I can't pull it far enough away to get bot my...

Re: DIY power mode switch?
I'll have to try when it's light out, I can't see anything up there cause i can barely get my head and arm under there, let alone 2 arms. I may have to pull the lower part of the dash.
Wish me...

Re: DIY power mode switch?
So I've got a little rocker switch grounded at one end and the other end shoved into A4. It was a pain in the ass but I could do it without removing the dash as long as the wheel was up and seat was...

Re: Power Mode Selection
I Just performed this mod on my 95 LS, switch is still dangling and needs to be properly mounted. But after the test drive, I would recommend this to ANYONE. It transforms the car completely in the...

Re: DIY power mode switch?
Not sure about that switch to lock up the torque converter. I think there's a lot of potential problems with that and sounds rather scary to me.
There are times though when I really really wish I...

DIY power mode switch?
I'm having a lot of trouble finding info I could use as a "how to" on a DIY power mode switch. I saw a few little things here and there about trying to trick your TCU into thinking there's a hot...

Re: Thermostat question
You might be right about it sticking open. I originally thought that was the case, but convinced myself that what it was doing is normal. I'll check into it.

Not 100% on the functionality of my dead zone then. Mine frequently goes back and forth between half a just under half of the gauge as driving conditions vary. The fans kick on when it reaches the...

SVX brake pad job, easy or a pain?
I'm going to be doing brake pads all around pretty soon. The only other car I've ever had long enough to do brakes on was a 91 Sentra and that was probably the easiest thing I've ever done, didn't...

Re: Exhaust heat shielding
