How much trouble am I in? When I tore it down I found ALL of the idler pulleys had seized and/or lost all of the ball bearings. I'm a former auto machinist and can do the valves if I need to but I'm...

when the noise happens

while I'm driving there is little or no noise. only when taking off, turning from a stop or backing up. U-joints and cv joints seem fine. I can feel it in the seat

not tires

I've put new tires on out of dire need(they were all mis matched and dangerous). the noise seems to be coming from the rear of the car when I back up or make any kind of turn. I can also feel it...

made a sweet trade for a 92 svx because the previous owner couldnt find the problem or was to broke to try. I suspect it to be in the rear dif (sounds like a pos unit thats not clutching properly) ....
