Re: 1996 Ebony LSi with 122000 miles

Buyer backed out. The car is still for sale. At his request, I had a CO2 test done to check the head gasket integrity. No CO2 in the cooling fluid.

Re: 1996 Ebony LSi with 122000 miles

Re: 1996 Ebony LSi with 122000 miles

Is it just me or is Bill kind of pushing it with his questions regarding the iPod plug and the wheel bearing? I mean we're talking about a car that has had about $2500 worth of maintenance and repair...

Re: 1996 Ebony LSi with 122000 miles

Sorry about the delay.

1. How's the AC? It's not R12-based, is it?

It's the same AC system as all SVX, unless canadian SVXs are different, but it wouldn't apply in this case since it's a US...

Re: 1996 Ebony LSi with 122000 miles

It's never been smoked in. As for the HIDs, they're APEXcone kits that I bought 3 years ago from DDM... They've never failed me. Low beams are 4300K and fogs are 6000K. Hi beams need to react...

Re: 1996 Ebony LSi with 122000 miles

I imported it from the states myself a while ago. I can drive it to the Plattsburg International Airport (PGB), zip code 12903. I don't know about the rules of importing it back though... I know...

1996 Ebony LSi with 122000 miles

Hello guys,

I'm moving on. Building a house and need something practical to carry stuff around... possibly a baby.

Re: Broken shifter cable: how do you tow the car?

Excellent! I was able to get the car in neutral and reverse but not in drive... didn't have enough leverage with my hand down the engine bay with my arm fully extended. So my friend drove 2 miles...

Re: Broken shifter cable: how do you tow the car?

Thanx! Is that accessible from the engine bay or do I have to disconnect it from under?

Re: Broken shifter cable: how do you tow the car?

Ok part number found: 35151PA000 under the description Cable assembly-select lever

Now all I need to know is how to get that car in drive or worst case in neutral.

Broken shifter cable: how do you tow the car?

Hey guys,

I got the transmission issues ironed out (turned out to be a faulty driveshaft that was causing all this unusual vibration). I sold the car since then to a friend. Last week the...

Re: Front speaker replacement (need for adaptors?)

Adaptors are needed, if anyone else wants to know. I ordered the Infinity 6032cf with the adaptors shown above. I'll let you know how everything fits.

Front speaker replacement (need for adaptors?)

Hey everyone,

Got my front passenger speaker rattling and I was looking for a relatively cheap aftermarket replacement... like Infinity. Something that plays. My questions are:

- what size...

Re: Alternatives for 4EAT (4.44)

I haven't seen the transmission... I don't know if it has a spin on filter on the side. I'm just browsing some local ads.

Re: Alternatives for 4EAT (4.44)

Would an ATX from an Impreza 2.5RS 2000 work? (transmission code TZ1A2ZJEAA)

PS: I'm asking because the part number isn't one that would match the criteria stated in the thread I refer to, but...

Re: Alternatives for 4EAT (4.44)

I think the guy selling the transmissions is BudFreak from svxworldforums (SVX Parts Central). Seems he's done this on quite a few SVXs and done a few writeups. I feel I can trust his judgment. So...
