Re: Fox Exhausts

Hmm, almost 1300 shipped! And I'm fairly confident it does not include the Cat. It says 'from cat' and that flange looks like the one with the donut gasket right after the Cat to me.
I would expect...

Re: Questions on how to proceed

Well it's not pretty, but I'd be surprised if a gasket wouldn't seal that. I agree with Blacky, I think you'll be ok. I would say you'll need a new pan if yours isn't perfectly flat.
Personally, if...

Re: Questions on how to proceed

Nice progress! I believe the pinholes only line up one way, it is indeed a pain.

Re: Questions on how to proceed

Oof, sounds like you've got your work cut out for you. I would expect the 90's 4eat pans were all very similar if not the same.

I have a Phillips head screwdriver I've used for years to knock the...

Re: Questions on how to proceed

Sounds like an excellent opportunity to refresh some fluids. Realistically, if you have all the parts, that doesn't sound like more than a weekend of work to me. You can just put new boots with fresh...

Re: What have you done to your SVX (or other Subaru) today?

That's the primary reason I parked mine ...damn like almost 2 years ago. Whilst doing maintenance on my Impreza coupe recently, the rear brake lines disintegrated in the very same spot.
It's right...

Re: Retro-fitting a CAN bus to a pre-OBD2 SVX?

I don't know much about CAN bus, except it seems to make newer Subie swaps a huge pain, so I'm not gonna be much help. But I'm very curious as to the nature of your project, are you doing data...

Green SVX and 2G Eclipse

Just driving around near the Cape, saw a green SVX and a 2G eclipse in a driveway. My very first car was a 97 RS auto, unfortunately I didn't know a thing about cars then. If you're on here I just...

Re: Continued server work....

RS25(RIP) recently changed ownership and subsequently formats. Went from vBulletin to something else and it's just terrible now. Can't wait to see the new vB, got my fingers crossed.

Thanks for...

Re: Tips for starting an SVX thats been sitting a few years?

I'm pretty sure you'll be able to hear the pump prime if you're in a relatively quiet environment. Could the buzzing be the fuel pump relay itself, or is it definitely something else in the area?...

Re: Tips for starting an SVX thats been sitting a few years?

I would just recharge the pack and try again. If you can use another vehicle to jump/donate it's battery, that may give better results, it has for me in the past. I actually just started my SVX today...

Re: Tachometer gettin' lazy

So you know, pulling the gauge cluster can be done in the comfort of the driver's seat. If I remember correctly, you start at the radio and work your way up and around the cluster removing trim. Pop...

I'd like to offer my thanks as well. Seeing other forums being bought up by that crap company verticlescope is disheartening. I'm really glad this site is still unchanged and going strong. Thank you...

Sale pending

I'll be driving down next weekend to check the car out personally, but from the pics it looks pretty good. Not perfect, but the windshield (and the rest of the glass) is intact and there's...

Re: Help Needed

Ya what he said. The pump should prime itself for a second or two when the key is turned to ignition. That'll confirm the wiring and new pump are good to go. Also, perhaps try to find some photos of...

Re: JDM Legacy BG VTD tranny in EU VTD SVX - binding

Well given the year of the trans I would think it's ok to use. And if both computers result in that binding feeling, it's probably safe to assume the duty solenoid C (awd) is to blame. If I recall...

Re: JDM Legacy BG VTD tranny in EU VTD SVX - binding

What year Legacy is the transmission from? It might have slightly different electronics/programming. Would it be possible to obtain the TCU from the/a same car the transmission is from?

Re: BRAT on BaT

Shwaaaat? I've got an '03 WRX, bugeye of course, lightly and tastefully modded. Maybe I should be looking to get more than 2k for it eh?

Re: BRAT on BaT

Speaking of 360's, there's one near me that's AWESOME! It's not on BaT, but rather Craigslist:

Re: I may not have an SVX anymore, but ...

Unfortunately, that's just the packaging. The actual model doesn't have any hood emblem. However there interior is surprisingly accurate.

Re: I may not have an SVX anymore, but ...

Just found one at my local Target! Indeed, they're only 99 cents, so I was prepared to but them out. Unfortunately 21 were somewhere on a cart waiting to be stocked and it was a zoo. Anyway, we...
