a guide coat should be used whenever any bodywork is being done... EVERY shop should do it, and if they have a good reputation, I doubt they are eye-balling primer

No... you are talking about a guide coat. This is when you spray a VERY light coat of a dark paint... usually black, to check for imperfections. BUT Eric is simply having the body shop do all the...
