I've had a maniac alternator for a few years now and within a year it keeps Goin out. I've taken it to a local alternator and generator shop and they replaced a diode and worked fine until a few days...

well i figured out what made the car run like crap...bad coil...which on #4. runs like a champ. i'll have to check later to see if the exhaust gets hot like before. i pulled all cats out and checked...

clogged cat?
what would symptoms of a clogged cat/pre cat?
my car has a loss of power, wrx sound from the tail pipes, and smoke coming from the cats (excessive heat melting the undercarriage)
no rotten egg...

i took the exhaust out and checked each cat for any rattle...none what so ever. i put it all back together and still the same problem.
sounds like a wrx, loss of power...didnt drive it too long as...
