Re: Rear windscreen.

Hey Steve, I think a parts car might be your best bet.

But not sure if any locals actively monitor this site.

But if you do the facebook thing, join us here: ...

Re: Australian svx register for vehicle ownership

Come join us if you can.

Re: Obtaining information about SVX's in Australia

I only have half an answer for #1...

I'm not a car club kind of guy these days, but I know there's me and several others in your neighbourhood who are super passionate about the SVX.

I'm...

Re: Repairing damaged fake wood

I can confirm that the "wood grain" is very very thin. I already sanded one piece to test. It took almost nothing to get through to the base brown plastic.

Re: Headliner removal

I can't recall sorry, as I was stripping the entire interior anyway, so I don't remember exactly what order those went out.

Re: Headliner removal

Yes pretty easy.

Almost everything unscrews to release it (light, sun visors, etc.), except for a few clips right at the rear near the glass.

Re: WTB: new style grille (i.e. without the "light")

Do you have that part number? I've only got the OEM part number for the 92.

Re: WTB: new style grille (i.e. without the "light")

Thanks Gene.

I was pretty sure of the origin of both, but wasn't sure best place to buy (or whether someone here would have one they don't need).

I can now see that Motorsport Warehouse sell...

WTB: new style grille (i.e. without the "light")

Does anyone have for sale, or know the best place to buy the more modern style grille like either of these below?

I don't care about colour or paint as I'm respraying the entire car anyway.

Re: Need Instrument cluster.

I should have a spare cluster.

I'm 99% sure the one in my spare car will be surplus to my requirements. But give me a week or 2 to check my good one and be sure that it's all working. If it is,...

Re: My SVX is in it's death throws.

Re: Inside Roof Trim - any ideas?

So far I've only received my sample packs of Ultrasuede and Ultraleather that I bought. I haven't actually placed an order for the lengths I'm thinking of.

I'd rather see how my own order goes...

Re: Inside Roof Trim - any ideas?

I'm sourcing Ultrasuede from the States, so I'm thinking of just throwing an extra few metres into the order and going nuts on it.

By the way, Ultrasuede is what Ecsaine was marketed as in the US...

Re: Inside Roof Trim - any ideas?

No you don't have to remove the sunroof.

But yes if the foam has perished (very likely), you'll be scraping and scraping and scraping... There will be no point trying to re-glue to foam that's...

Re: Inside Roof Trim - any ideas?

You're probably not going to get it right without removing that internal panel.

I've removed 2 interior roof panels now, each time without damage. So I'm happy to help.

Wheel restoration photos

Thought you might all be interested to see my "new" wheels.

They're factory-new looking...

Re: AUS Part needed! Replacement driveshaft

I've got a parts car sitting here (Central Coast), but I haven't started looking into pulling apart the drive train yet.

How urgent?
