Still another tranny problem/question
'92 w/about 75,000 miles on current tranny.
Good shifts in ALL gears, but slips ONLY in 4th gear and ONLY under moderate to strong acceleration.
Doesn't matter whether t/c is locked or not.

H.I.R. Bulbs
Just read this VERY informative thread!
Over a yeasr ago I replace ALL headlite bulbs w/HIR.
They are truly AMAZING.
I do alot of nite time driving, lots of hi-beam and haven't dropped a bulb yet....

Oil cooler
I'm curious.
Where does the water return to AFTER it goes thru the oil cooler sandwich?
Does it go back into the sytem via the rad hose or...

IMHO, there is a HUGE difference in oil filters.
Purolator is by far the biggest manufacturer of filtration. With Wix following a distant second. Many OE and most aftermarket(CarQuest, NAPA,...

I too have an Outback. a '96 Auto.
First thing I did was put a tranny cooler on it. At least you wont have to.
