I wonder if aftermarket remote actuators are fitted and resisting the unlock?
Either way I would be pulling the door card off and pulling the lock mechanism out to check it.

Re: 1992 climate control display broken

I had one of the digits not reading correctly as 1 or 2 of the bars remained permanently lit. I removed and opened the unit up, not that difficult to do hoping to find a loose or bad solder joint. I...

Yesterday I fitted a new wheel bearing to the front left but I must have damaged the abs sensor when I removed or refitted it.

Now living in the UK I will have to ship the sensor from a supplier...

Re: Head gasket set and bolts, recommendation pls

Thanks trophy956.
On the bolts how does the torque sequence differ when reusing the old bolts as I assume the factory sequence takes into account the bolts being stretch or TTY bolts?

Also would...

As the title suggests I need to know the thread size of the high pressure side port to enable me to buy the correct adapter.

My port is on the receiver and is smaller than the low pressure port.

Re: Drivers seatback problem

It's great that your covers are in excellent condition. That way you could get a cheap seat and swap your covers onto it.

Re: Drivers seatback problem

If you are inclined and handy you may be able to take the seat apart and find what is broken. I would be inclined to find a replacement seat, any colour will do as you could swap your old seat...

Re: 05-07 STI coilovers and use of the sway bar (brackets?)

I still not sure what you mean.
Is it the top mount holes on the chassis that need elongating to match the top mount stud pattern?
Or is it the strut mount bracket that needs opening up a little...

Re: Door chime

Thank you blacky.

I'd assumed it should only chime with the key in. I did Google it and general subie modus operandi is the same.

It appears there is a switch and it can jam in the the key in...
