Okay, so I have a couple options with the knock sensors...

I have found that the front knock sensor (just behind the alternator) is cracked all the way through. The only thing holding it together...

Hey all, thanks for the replies.

I took the alternator to autozone... it failed the test... twice.

new one cost me 149$ with a lifetime warranty. the bolt I needed I found an exact match for it...

I was told about disconnecting the battery by a friend of mine... I did some reading before I thought about trying it, and apparently you should NEVER disconnect the battery while the car...
