As far as I know the mounts are good--I thought I might've had a broken mount and I asked my mechanic to look at it in Sept 07 and he said he didn't see any broken mounts.

I kissed a pole on my parking cover in Hawaii in 1999. :( It's not from bubble rust. It's painted over with touch up. I pulled in and it just chipped the paint but no dent in the fender/wheelwell.
