It's pretty obvious when you break teeth off the gears. You can usually hear a distinct pattern of clanking/knocking that speeds up as you accellerate. At least that's what mine does.

Transmission missing axle mount shafts?
So I found a tranny this week, but it is missing the shafts that come out of the front differential which connect to the axles. Is this something I could buy separately or is this tranny screwed?

Head unit is brand new. As is subwoofer. I'm pretty sure its the RCA's, its just a matter of having a free day that is preferably warmer than 20 degrees so I can tear into it :lol:
