CV axle? what holds that thing in there
ok, so I can see my cv axle. Long stick boot on each end...... what holds it in place. It looks like its just stuck in there. I have heard that the part near the engine has a roll pin.

Yes, the radiatior is brand new. The old radiator with the crack in the top is sitting on my balcony.... so, yes it has a brand new radiator.

Well it looks like 3rd gear is gone. I cant do over 65 mph without it reving up like it in neutral (slipping). I have swapped some trannys on a early 90's truck.

The first thing I would look at is the belt. If the belt looks fine then maybe move on to more $ problems.
