I would not worry abut it Mike, it's supposed to get hot, its dissipating power by dropping the 12V to 5V.:)

Hi mate, your 96 model should be OBD2 the 92 is OBD1 so you will only have problems trying to swap them. The problem is in the C solenoid they have a light pressure spring to return the solenoid...

As there is no sign of any electrical activity, it looks like no charge from the battery. but you say they are charged.
Larry can you check it with a test light across the terminals, to see?

I think you will find that sensor 22053AA020 is not available, that why we use the cam sensor instead.
Fits the hole, but needs rotating to get the plug on, a washer on the hold down bolt to hold it...

Larry the fusible link is in the fuse box, the one you are talking about between the battery and the fender is the dropping resistor for the TCU

The starter does send a signal to the ECU via the Cruise control, to tell if the starter is working, also to tell the ECU to go to the start system.
As far as I can see it comes from the inhibitor...

Mate sorry but, there is no 12/13 listed in my Australian FSM.
The US car does have another unit that we don’t have, that is a temp sensor for the EGR system that is on the inlet manifolds EGR line...
