Re: engine shudder and bogs
Had this problem too.
Cleaned the MAF, Tweaked the TPS adjustment, Ran some fuel injector cleaner, reset the computer a few times and now it seems to be mostly gone.

Re: How low is too low
I'd just get a front clip or something if you want the car lower, I've seen some members with them. There's still a little room to play with up there.
I bottom out constantly in town trying to get...

I need to repaint it bad, it's more flat gray than black now. It looked damned cool when I 1st did it.

Re: RWD conversion?
The AWD does it just fine.
It just takes a little time for it to start stepping out.
I had fun in a parking lot the other night.

Re: Another one, intermittent hesitation.
Well it the engine doesn't "seem" any hotter than usual. It's pretty obvious if one is overheating enough to matter. I was thinking along the lines of minor vapor locking.
I guess I could try...

Re: Another one, intermittent hesitation.
I think I may have solved my hesitation problem... Or at least discovered the problem.
This is the 1st night in weeks it hasn't been in the 90s and my car was running flawlessly tonight. No...

Re: Another one, intermittent hesitation.
I'll go try that right now, I'll let you know when I get back, thanks!
Haha, I had it at 0.528 adjusting by ear. I set it to 0.504 (closet I could get to 0.500).
I'm thinking this might not be...

Re: Another one, intermittent hesitation.
I can't get a reading off my TPS with my multi meter.
I can't pierce the wire I guess, my prongs are apparently too wide. Is there any way I can adjust it by ear, engine response? So far I can...

Re: Another one, intermittent hesitation.
It's a brand new optima red top.
I have no way to find out what my TPS is set at. I've, so far, adjusted it by feel and believe I'm either dead on or not far enough off for it to be an issue.

Re: Another one, intermittent hesitation.
Hesitation is back now as well as some charging system issues.
With the AC on the battery will dip below 11 volts. (Brand new alternator...)
At least I have the temp sensor working now.......

Re: Quick Question: Gas Tank Size - MPG
It would be easier to just get it to a quarter tank, fill it up (check how much you put in), and drive it till it's back to a quarter tank.
I average around 24mpg.

Re: "Cash for clunkers" program ADMINS request
18mpg?
I've seen as much as 30mpg, and no less than somewhere in the 20s. I usually get 350-370miles to the E mark on my gauge, when I will have an additional 50-100 miles before empty.
18 is...

Re: new SVX owner has questions
Just asking here because it's already an issue.
Every mechanic I talk to tells me NEVER to change your transmission fluid. I just turned over 63k miles dead even last night, and I honestly don't...

Re: Another one, intermittent hesitation.
Just grounding it is how it works?
Wow brb I'm trying this.
Worked like a charm, have to wait till the next time I drive it to see if it will show when I'm overheating though.

Re: Another one, intermittent hesitation.
I have no idea what's going on to be honest.
I put my multi meter on it at 20k ohm and it shows 1.0 with the engine HOT. It would bounce around a little, but it wouldn't trip the fans.
If I...

Re: Another one, intermittent hesitation.
My multimeter has everything but an 0.5volt option so I opted for playing around with the adjustment. I discovered at a certain point it kicks the fuel pump on. So I adjusted it to where you barely...

I don't have a service manual so anyone who knows how I would adjust this correctly, please chime in. (If I use a multi meter please let me know what I set it to)
I just messed with it by ear last...

Re: Another one, intermittent hesitation.
It can crop up out of no where. Drive all day without a problem, then it'll start doing it for no reason, or start it up and it never stops doing it.
I've seen the stuff about the bead crush mod,...
