Need new tranny...level 10 questions
 

Hey, i need a new transmission. I remeber seeing something about a level ten transimission a while back so i did a search and i came up with one thread which didnt give me to much info. On the website it doesnt say anything about subaru transmissions. do i have to call up and ask in person? also, what is the turn around time about and aprox. price without shipping?

If you are going to pay about 3k to level 10, why not get a 5spd in there?

to tell you the truth...im not paying for it. my dad is. he said im better off without the hassle of a stick. if you were wondering, i just got my liscense.

I see. Mine had a glitch for the first time a few weeks ago between 2-3 shift. I am looking into a 5 speed replacement.

You have to search for Level 10 messages on the Yahoo SVX Group Club website. Most of the messages are 2 1/2 to 3 years old. The person you want to speak to at Level 10 is Pat Barret. no one else. There are 2 models for AWD SVX. PTS #2 & PTS #3. The PTS #2 is what you want. The PTS #3 is more of a full race tranny. Excpect to pay $3.5 to $5k. for a bullet proof tranny.

i've read so much about the 5sp trans. in this forum... and so many variations of fixing the weak stock transmission... so what is the ideal way to go?? it seems like another auto would cost like 3k, is that with the install?? what about a 5 speed? how much would it cost with install?? and i just read somewhere about the sti 6 speed, any estimates on that one??

Because a 5spd isn't bullet proof.

I have access to a Legacy B4 RSK auto tranny if you want one. 3.9 final drive. Truly bulletproof.
