SVX on dyno
Finally was able to get my svx on a dyno to see what stock numbers came up.
it was coming up 122awhp constantly. |
Re: SVX on dyno
Sounds about right as there are huge losses in any AWD/4 wheel drive system.
My GMC truck was well over 300 engine horsepower and only had 210 HP at the rear wheels. |
Re: SVX on dyno
That does not sound right... 47% drivetrain loss? I have never seen that much loss on an SVX. When I benchmarked my SVX's (with the 4EAT) I was right around 150awhp.

Re: SVX on dyno
What brand of dyno was this test performed on?
Same question to you sicksubie... |
Re: SVX on dyno
When I dynoed my stock svx way back when with 170k miles it did 180whp 185wtq. Dynojet dyno btw.

Re: SVX on dyno
Mustang dyno for me... Which makes sense as my numbers give me about a 35% drivetrain loss and Bishop using a Dynojet experienced a 22% drivetrain loss. The average difference between Dynojet and Mustang dynos is in the range of 12% with Mustangs reading lower.

Re: SVX on dyno
not sure how merican dynos compare, mine made 146 stock on a dyno dynamics rolling road.

Re: SVX on dyno
I've got video from my 5MT SVX on the dyno somewhere.... Let me see if I can find it... It was NEARLY 10 years ago so apoligies if I don't have it anymore... But I'll look :)

Re: SVX on dyno
i was 122awhp at 3800rpm
the svx is 230 crank at 5600 rpm |
Re: SVX on dyno
Definitely sounds like a heartbreaker dyno for sure.
Dsport magazine did an issue a while back comparing different dynos with two cars to compare what the differences actually were. |
