'94 SVX in New England Auto Auction
1 Attachment(s)
Just received my copy of the December 2013 issue of Hemmings SPORTS & EXOTIC CAR magazine. On page 91, there is a listed '94 RED SVX that sold at auction for $3,700 - 80K miles on it. Their indication was that the price was "market Correct". Apparently it needed a bit of cleaning up ....

There's a market? ;)
Actually it's good to see some SVx's going through the auctions. The bids they get are a good indicator of interest in the car, if not actual value. Combine the activity with several car magazines recently calling them under-appreciated soon-to-be classics, the auction prices may start to rise. |

Just a matter of time ... ;)

Re: '94 SVX in New England Auto Auction
I am seeing 125K SVX with good paint, bodies and good transmissions going for $2500-$3000 where as 3-4 years ago they were $3500-$4000. The low mileage ones, 100k and under seem to be holding their value may be even going up a little.

Re: '94 SVX in New England Auto Auction
Funny enough, a 94 FWD with 75k miles just sold at dealer auction for ~$7k....
Dealers with too much money get a hard on and don't realize the actual value. We've been seeing this quite a bit with SVXes that have shown up at dealer auctions. Awhile back was one that was very beat up, higher mileage, aka typical average SVX these days, and went for almost $3k. The market for the SVX is just haywire. |
