a different oil dipstick question...

is it possible for the dipstick for your oil to read wrong?

Re: a different oil dipstick question...

Not really as long as the car is on level ground and has been sitting with the engine off for a while.
All the Subarus I've owned and presently own seem very difficult to get a true reading of the oil level.

I guess all the metal shavings in your oil plugged the leak.;)
