92 LSL 5 speed in Hershey PA
Location of the SVX: Hershey PA
Year: 1992 Model: LSL Paint Color: Ebony Black Interior Color: Grey Miles: 200,000 + AWD or FWD: AWD Modifications: 5 Speed Engine Condition: Freshly sealed Transmission condition: Good Clutch slips a little Glass condition: Good Type of wheels: Stock and aftermarket Interior condition: Great Body condition: Poor Known defects or problems: Steering rack problems As you can see in the pics the paint on the car is faded bad on the roof as well as other spots there is a rust hole through the right rear quarter and there are dents on most every panel of the car. I usually start off with the bad stuff and there is more. I stopped driving the car because I could not get the power steering to work again after I swapped out the engine it grinds something fierce and when you fill it it seams to be dead headed so when you turn the car off it all boils out the reservoir. My buddy told me its because of air in the lines and it just needs bleed but I could not get it to bleed. I had already replaced the pump and the rack and was unsuccessful. The clutch slips when you really stand on it because it is just a stock replacement clutch I figured it would work better than it does but it is drivable. The Radio is missing as I had a head unit there that didn’t play cd’s then it just stopped working all together. The speakers are new and of good quality. There is no ebrake because the old pads had worn through the back plate and would always hang up so I took them out. The suspension is as far as I know original so it is very worn out and bouncy. I think that is it for the bad. I put this engine in after I redid all the seals, valve cover, intake, upper and lower, oil pan, cam shaft and new plastics on the timing. The timing belt is less than a year old as well as all the pulleys for it. I had removed certain parts of the engine since this engine was to go in my wagon but I scrapped the wagon and put the engine in the SVX I removed the EGR and the cold start valve which I don't even understand why it had it as the car starts in the cold just fine. LOL The engine runs strong and is very smooth. I did however paint the intake and valve covers orange since that would have went well with my wagon, on this car not as good. Sorry. The stock wheels have good tires on them and I have a set of nice 17's with bad tires on them that go with it. I have a second set of 17's that I bent a wheel and got a flat in that you can have as well I have all four just one is bent but repairable by a professional shop. As far as aftermarket parts go I have a lot of those and they're what make the car worth it. Of course it is a 5 speed car with the high gear ratio trans and rear in the car, The five speed swap was done using a Type N cross member which is a very good cross member and expensive. The only thing that does not work because of the swap is the cruise control there is a way to make it work but I never got around to doing it. List of other parts cross drilled slotted rotors front and rear extra set of front race pads stainless steal lines all the way around ATE Super blue fluid but unfortunately if you part the car you really cant reuse that. Clear headlights clear corners Silvania Silver star lights in all the Highs Lows and Fogs poly rear sub frame to rear diff mounts The exhaust is stock but has been modified by the previous owner. I have boat loads of stock parts you can have it all or take what you want I will scrap the rest. almost a complete tan interior the drivers seat was pretty badly torn but I still have it tons of grey interior parts and the interior in the car is complete and in great shape minus a shift boot I have a whole stock suspension with hubs and brakes Passenger door trunk with wing I think there's a hood but I can not remember completely extra gauges and more I just don't even remember all of it. If your interested let me know I want rid of the car and all the stuff and don't feel like parting it out myself, I am way to busy these days and need the room. I really wish I could keep this car because it fits my bill, its rare, its weird looking and its very fast, but I have 11 cars and need to cut back. I would like $2000 because I have more than that in it and lots of spares that you can sell and make back a lot of money Brad Espenshade http://sphotos.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-...90201895_n.jpg http://sphotos.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-...44524145_n.jpg http://sphotos.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-...81636684_n.jpg http://sphotos.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-...41839357_n.jpg http://sphotos.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-...18001715_n.jpg http://sphotos.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-...45315953_n.jpg http://a5.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphot...21458231_n.jpg http://a1.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphot...42841964_n.jpg http://sphotos.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-...24569574_n.jpg |

Sounds like a decent project. What tranny was used in the swap?

Re: 92 LSL 5 speed in Hershey PA
I did not do the swap so I don't know for sure but I think it is a legacy trans as it looks exactly the same as the trans that I pulled from a legacy for my old wagon.

I love seeing cars that last that long. People I know swear by their American-made cars that last to about 90,000 before dying. I can't wait until mine makes it up there. She's 110k young!
