Okay, I give up... what the **** is that thing? At first I thought he got a great deal on a Mazda 323 GT or GTX, but it doesn't look quite right. Then I thought maybe an Isuzu I-Mark RS, but that's not right either.
I'm usually pretty good at identifying cars, but this one's got me stumped, and I've wasted over an hour trying to figure it out. |
Same here. I have no clue what that is, and I was ashamed to ask.

That's a renault of some sort right?
|
I checked out Renaults too... nothing that I found matched that car.
|
Def. not a Renault. My parents owned just about every Renault model brought to the US while I was 'growing up.' No wonder my personality is so warped.

Golf with a fiat front end?

It's a Chevy Turbo Sprint.
There's one of these on campus up here at Franklin Pierce. As far as I know, they've got 3-cylinder turbos, but I might be wrong--they could have four-bangers. I don't know much else about them, but they're really kind of neat. -Adam |
my other guess would have been a ford fiesta, but i doubt they would ever make the effort of putting a turbo in one of those.
|
alacrity024 is right. Sprint Turbo. I've even driven a few of them. Fun little car in it's own way. 3 cylinder Suzuki turbo motor I believe. Might have even been intercooled.

I agree that it's a Chevy Sprint, but it's really a Suzuki? Or an Isuzu? Let's see - a Geo is a Suzuki. Must be Isuzu. The red paint alone is worth $500. Nice purchase.

I think this picture can speak for itself.

Chevy Sprint Turbo is correct
Made by Suzuki. Three cylinder, turbo charged, fuel injected and intercooled. Five speed, 12 inch wheels and 74 screaming horsepower. One liter (actually 998cc) of fury. Had a blast in ours. My wife used to drive it when we were in Pittsburgh. Great for blasting through traffic. Got about 40-45 mpg on the freeway. Not the most comfortable for road trips.
Bought it for $1000 in 1993. Drove it until 1997 when I traded it for some repair work/parts on the SVX that would have cost us about $700. Still miss that car. :( Todd |
Why are people suppost to call me mini-mod?? OHHH I just got it... sheesh.. you're a funny guy you are, Todd.
