I locked the keys in the car... What is the best way to get in?

1 - Call AAA
2 - Call a Subaru dealer and have them look up the VIN to cut a key. You will probably need to take some sort of proof of ownership (title, reg, ins card that has the VIN)
3 - Rock

No AAA and don't have a ride to Subaru dealers and I see many many rocks but that is not a option for cause I am so broke

Get AAA, it's like $45 for a year, or $60 if you upgrade to the premium whatever which is pretty awesome.

You could simply call a local mobile locksmith. It usually costs under $50 for lockout service.

I got in with a clothes hanger and I did it in like 5 mins kinda scares me how easy it was :/ but now have a spare key in my wallet :)

Did u go inside the door( between the glass and the outside ) or inside the car and pull the lock up.

Somehow I was thinking that the car could only be locked from the outside with the key or remote. Not sure where I got that idea, I'll have to test mine.

When the power lock doesn't work with the remote, You push the lock down and close the door with the outside handle raised. With the key in your hand not in the ignition

Oh, I didn't know that, I had to lock the SVX with the key the last time my remote ran low on batteries.

I went between the roof and the door stuck the clothes hanger in then used it to lift the door Handel till the door opened easy as that...

now, here is what you do:

1. go to walmart with a $10 bill, and your key.

2. walk out with 8 new keys.

3. hide keys in your house, on your car, in your wallet, etc.

4. remember where you hid them.

this is a little off topic but when i went to get a new key from Subaru they tried to look up my VIN to cut the key but they couldnt find it...is that normal?

My wife and I both keep an extra key to each of our 3 SVX's taped to the back of our driver's license with packaging tape in our wallets. (they do all 3 fit on it)We never go anywhere without our wallet!

This began years ago when my wife locked the keys in the Cadillac for the ump-tenth-time and I was finally able to retrieve the key. $80.00 later, we came up with a plan that works like a dream... the Drivers license thing!
