SOLD - 1992 SVX LS-L Ebony 5MT - Colorado

CAR IS SOLD :(

Location of the SVX: Lakewood, CO

Year: 1992

Model: LS-L (touring)

VIN: JF1CX3535NH108738

Manufacture date: 01/1992

Paint Color: Ebony

Interior Color: Grey Leather

Miles: 139,XXX

Options: Rear Spoiler

AWD or FWD: AWD

Modifications: 5MT from 2005 Legacy 2.5GT, Sony iPod head unit w/ xm radio.

Major service: Dealer-performed 60k service in 2007, water pump replaced at 119.9k (timing belt still looked brand new), new oem alternator in 2007, new oem radiator in 2008, and rear bearing job in Jul 2011.

Engine Condition: Valve covers leak, but not enough to require adding oil between changes

Maintenance Records: Yes, since I purchased it from the original owner in Apr 2007 with 52k miles.

Transmission condition: Excellent. 2005 Legacy 2.5GT 5mt swap done by Tom of All We'll Drive in Oct 2007 at 77k. Transmission had almost all new parts.

Glass condition: Windshield has two major cracks and has a far amount of pits. All other glass is good.

Type of tire and remaining tread: Choice of stock wheels w/ Hankook Icebear W300s (205/55/16) or Nissan Murano wheels w/ Kumho Ecsta ASX (225/45/18).

Type of wheels: Stock 16" or Nissan Murano 18"

Interior condition: Okay. Worn leather on driver's seat left bolster and small rip on passenger seat bottom. Both visors sag slightly, but are held up by binder clips attached to top of a-pillar. Driver's side visor vanity also does not light up due to electrical short.

Body condition: Fair. Original owner had a couple of body panels repainted for whatever reason and it's noticeable when car is clean. Hood is slightly dented from being backed into in Jan 2009. Had some chiropractic work done to it and it opens and closes fine. Major scuff and chip on front bumper. Minor chips on rear spoiler. Missing hood emblem. Grille does not attach to right headlight from the incident and the left front sidemarker is cracked and retains moisture. Also 19 years worth of door dings.

Known defects or problems: A/C doesn't currently function. Maybe just needs a recharge or possible leak.

Comments about the car: Purchased a new car and there's just no room for it anymore.

Good luck with the sale, Ken.

I've ridden in the car and can vouch for it. Very solid mechanically. :)

the car was cold when i started it for the joker, and the lifters were ticking loudly as if the car was telling me not it to sell it to him.

This truley is super nice car. The trans was basically new... I think 10kmiles on the trans and the center section with the tail section were literally brand new when installed. Ran perfectly when we did the swap and somehow or another Ken gets 30+mpg out this thing... Steal to anyone looking for a great 5mt

30+ mpg, and EG33 power with a clutch behind it? nice.

Hopefully it has a better than stock clutch. The stock 2005+ 5-speed Legacy Sachs clutches stink like crazy if you slip them a bit, and they slip kinda easy.

It is times like this when I BADLY wish I weren't flat, financially. This car is begging to be given a bit of bodywork attention, and a new coat of very nice blue paint below the window-sill line. (I'd keep the roof and trunklid, engine bay, and possibly even the trunk and door jams black)

I should probably start looking at second, or maybe even third jobs, first.

Tom

it regularly gets 30 mpg, but i do manage to get some 25 mpg tanks too. i'd say, it averages about 28 mpg since the conversion.

also, it doesn't stink or slip at all. my guess is the transmission came from an 05 LGT, but the clutch came from an 07 WRX?

Yes... I had parts for a wrx clutch which I knew would match the trans... All I needed to order was the clutch fork and TOB... Its good to know whats in the car eh?
