unused 17 months and my svx starts in1go
 

Amazing enough,my svx after garaged for 17 months,after plugged in the batterry,it started in one go,just like that.

And after changing the oil and filter,(had not changed for 2 years)
it runs smoother than before.

Need to change the RACK END,though,(left front)

ANTONE know where i can get it fixed and approx.how much,THANKS?

Rack end as in boot? Or rack end as in tie rod end?

Both are reasonably easy to do, the key is to get an alignment after.

Rack boots might be able to get a universal one (genuine would be recommended), but tie rod will be genuine Subaru only.

Thanks dynomatt,I think its not the tie rod end,its the one after.,which my mechanic pals could not do.,

he tested by put the front tyre up,while he hold the rack,I try to shake the tyre in and out,for the two hands of 3 and 9 0,clock,when i push in and out,it has room to move
in out a little,which it should not move at all,
and with hand on 12 and 6 o,clock,and push in and out,its not move at all.

and thats how he tells the ball inside the rack end needs replacing.
and thats is medium damaged,jugded by its moves just a little.
the whole rack end should be changed.

I'm not sure if you can replace rack ends. I would think you just get the whole rack overhauled.
