FS: 1992 LS-L Touring Ebony in IL $2500 OBO
Location: Machesney Park, IL
Year: 1992 Model: LS-L Touring VIN: Upon request Manufacture date: 1/92 Paint Color: Ebony black Interior Color: Dark gray Miles: Around 191,000 miles Options: Everything the LS-L Touring gets (power everything, digital climate, leather, sunroof) including working keyless entry with a newer remote I bought from Subaru AWD or FWD: AWD Modifications: ECUTune Stage 1 Version 5, Flowmaster 40 series with stock tips, new resonator, catalytic converters eliminated before I got the car, Pioneer speakers in doors and rear area Major service: Had the transmission and wheel bearing replaced in the past before I got the car. Engine also replaced with a lower mileage example before I bought the car. I haven't been able to afford to do much else with it. Engine Condition: Runs awesome with no noises or misfiring Maintenance Records: Not much... just a receipt I have for the muffler Transmission condition: Shifts and operates perfect, ask 1986nate as he drove it Glass condition: No cracks or chips Type of tire and remaining tread: Tires are newer and pretty nice... actual brand I can't recall at the moment Type of wheels: Stock alloy wheels Interior condition: Pretty darn nice, had the front seats repaired so they look good, the trim is all there and in decent shape, and it's such a pleasant place to be for road trips Body condition: Good for the miles and living out in this area it's whole life. A little rust on both rear 1/4's and some dings here and there from being an everyday driver it's whole life, some clearcoat fading in places, hood was recently spraybombed gloss black and it looks a ton better than it did before with the fading but really deserves a proper repaint Known defects or problems: Leaks oil out of the front seals and possibly the valve covers a bit, brake pads should be changed soon, a/c lines are not installed but come with the car (had to source them from someone), power antenna does not function, factory cd player refuses to read discs, and like most of these the hood/decklid struts are shot Comments about the car: I love this car, but I've been fighting off foreclosure for a while now and... well... I'm losing the battle. Anything I don't NEED is for sale and sadly I don't NEED to keep this car around sitting in the garage I won't have awaiting a 5 speed swap I can't afford... you get the picture. If you were at the 2010 Subaru Shootout in Byron, this was the ONLY SVX there. Asking price: $2500 OBO http://i615.photobucket.com/albums/t...X/301_0051.jpg http://i615.photobucket.com/albums/t...X/301_0052.jpg http://i615.photobucket.com/albums/t...X/301_0053.jpg http://i615.photobucket.com/albums/t...X/301_0085.jpg http://i615.photobucket.com/albums/t...X/301_0103.jpg http://i615.photobucket.com/albums/t...X/301_0104.jpg http://i615.photobucket.com/albums/t...X/301_0220.jpg http://i615.photobucket.com/albums/t...X/301_0061.jpg http://i615.photobucket.com/albums/t...X/301_0064.jpg http://i615.photobucket.com/albums/t...X/301_0065.jpg Please give me a call at 815-980-8960 if you'd like to take a look at the car. I will not sell it to someone who will not take care of it as it's a rare and dying breed these days. I'm asking $2500 or best offer on it. Thanks again for checking out my SVX. |
Re: FS: 1992 LS-L Touring Ebony in IL $2500 OBO
Sorry to hear that Karl.
As he said, I have driven this car. The transmission is very solid and mechanically is in great shape. Has some normal oil seeping/drippage like so many of these have. Has exterior cosmetic issues as he mentioned but nothing so bad it can't be taken care of. And the interior looks great, especially the seats. Good luck with the sale.:) |
Re: FS: 1992 LS-L Touring Ebony in IL $2500 OBO
Don't worry... once I either lose this battle and find a new cheaper place or win the battle once again I'll be back. I love these cars too much to never own one again!

Well, whoever won the car is screwing around with me. Deposit is to be paid within the hour (been 48 hours) and no contact by email or phone. If this doesn't get resolved, I'll be sure to post up the information about this guy. From what I understand he's a member on here too.

Re: FS: 1992 LS-L Touring Ebony in IL $2500 OBO
Yeah, I miss it too... but I needed a truck so it basically worked out where I got my truck and some coinage in trade for it...
I'll get another one someday... |

I'm sorry, this has nothing to do with your post, but your screen name reminded me of this awesome student film made many years ago:
