FS: 1992 Silver SVX Heavily Modified

I am selling my beloved. More or less due to a lack of desire. I am sure it will be better off with someone who will love to drive it like I used to.

Location of the SVX: Jersey City NJ

Year: 1992

Model: LS-L

VIN:JF1CX3537NH109325

Manufacture date:02/1992

Paint Color: Liquid Silver

Interior Color: Grey w/ Escaine seats

Miles: 155k on the body

Options: All the bells and whistles exc. a radio

AWD or FWD: AWD

Modifications:
- Whipple 1.6l supercharger making 12+ PSI
- Hydra Nemesis ECU w/ road tune
- 740CC Nismo Injectors
- AEM Methanol Injection Kit
- Equal Length headers followed by a custom 2.5" dual exhaust
- JDM Close ratio 6mt gearbox w/ 3.90 R180 & matching rear axles & AWD's "bomb-proof" X-member
- Group N mounts trans and engine
- Urethane Diff bushings
- Nevin Rear Sway bar
- Urethane filled driveshaft bushing
- Mad Dad digital analog gauges (Oil Pressue, EGT, Boost)
- Black-out headlights w/ clear lenses & 5k Lavalux HID's
- Black Fiberglass hood
- Black 97 grille
- Koni/GC coilovers
- Kmac Camber Caster plates
- PWR Aluminum Radiator w/ black silicone hoses
- 07 STi BBS wheels in gold wrapped w/ RE070's
- Race wheels w/ 275 Hoosiers w/ an extra set of brand new tires
- Non-ABS Brake lines & master cyl. out of an L Model
- Race Concepts from dimpled & slotted rotors w/ semi metalic Axxis pads
- Stainless Brake lines all around
- One touch Sunroof Mod (lets you full open & close w/o holding it twice)

Major service: Optional rebuilt Longblock w/ Eagle rods, new OEM water pump, timing belt & ilders, resealed w/ cometic head gaskets for an extra $3k

Engine Condition: 180K runs excellent

Maintenance Records: W/ so many new parts, you get the picture

Transmission condition: Perfect. Transmission has actual 50K miles on it

Glass condition: Perfect

Type of tire and remaining tread: The bridgestone's on the BBS wheels have seen better days and should prob be replaced within a year

Type of wheels: STi BBS in gold & Race wheels (forget the brand)

Interior condition: Not the best but in very good shape

Body condition: couple dings and scratches, nothing major

Known defects or problems: The front struts will need to be rebuilt, fortunately the Koni's have a lifetime warranty and I have all the paperwork to file the claim, just have not gotten around to it myself.

Comments about the car: It is an absolute blast to drive, extremely powerful, handles like it weighs 2000lbs less than it does. I have just lost my passion for the car and feel it would be better off in someone else's hands rather than sitting in my garage all the time.

Asking price: $15000 as is. Like I said there is an option to get a reman long block w/ eagle rods. These are the weak point in the engine when spinning it up w/ loads of torque. W/ the reman engine price will be $18k. Not looking for tire kickers or a bunch of people telling me they want to buy parts off it. That is not gonna happen. Don't like the price, I will be sure to tell you how sorry I am about that.

Unless they are not capable of maintaining it in the style to which it has become accustomed.

Somehow the Shadow Machine will never be the same without Tom behind the wheel...

If that happens, then we can all go get our pitch forks and torches and go to that person and rescue the car:lol:

Sorry for mucking up your thread already

Tom, maybe you should just take a break for a while. Throw a tarp over it for a year and take some time to appreciate your efforts. How long have you had svx on the brain? I'm at mine only 3 months out of a year and would never turn my back on mine. I just know the regrets I have after parting with a long term project, to this day it makes me sad. I'd just hate to see you go through the same. Don't throw out the baby with the bath water ya know.

Yikes:eek:

Anybody need an extra kidney, or liver (slightly used). I surely hope this goes to a good home.

Tom, you've been an inspiration to me over the year and a half I've had my car. I came to the site late (I know, new generation of poorboys) and have seen you push the limits of what this car is capable of. You've helped others in need, and built a real community around your shop. More than once I've found your advice on older threads that've spoken to me and my problems with my car. Without ever purchasing anything from you, meeting, or even exchanging messages, I've come to know you, your car, and the team at AWD as some of the greatest assets to this community. I understand that times do indeed change, and I've moved on from great passions more than once. I merely want to thank you for everything you've done for me and the network, as well as wish you luck in whatever comes next. Some lucky hobby is about to get the best enthusiast I've ever seen.

Good luck on the sale, in better times I'd be all over this.
