What were they thinking???

Re: What were they thinking???
It's gone plaid!
He probably should have mentioned it's FWD. |
Re: What were they thinking???
^^^ Forgive my ignorance.... new here.
How can you tell it's a FWD by pictures? |

The top of the line LSi came with beige leather and was the only AWD in the 1994 lineup. You can see the seats have aftermarket seat covers on them and the dash is dark gray matte plastic. The door panels and dash pad are gray vinyl. These indicate the L or LS model. The LSI would have a tan interior with leather seats and a wood grained dash. The door panels and dash pad would be the beige suede-like material (escaine). It would also have come with a factory sunroof, not the cheap aftermarket glass one shown in the photo. . |
Re: What were they thinking???
It is assumed to be FWD based on the option package. In 1994, you could not get an AWD SVX with the L package (cloth seats, vinyl trim, grey dash accents versus woodgrain)
Edit, John beat me to it. |
Re: What were they thinking???
bet the install on that sunroof cost 99.99
eek eek eek bad juju fail of the week. oh. and is that a skylight for a house? |
Re: What were they thinking???
Try to figure out if those wheels are directional...

Re: What were they thinking???
I'm pretty sure I have a 94 with grey leather interior... Are you saying LSi's were only tan interior?
|
Re: What were they thinking???
No, what I was saying is that all non leather interior cars in 1994 were FWD. We own a 1994 Laguna Blue LSi with Gray leather interior.

Re: What were they thinking???
I was thinking of getting a bra for my car to protect the new paint from stone chips and what not, but now that I see what it actually looks like...I am having second thoughts.
|
Q: What were they thinking???
A: They weren't!
:barf: |
Re: What were they thinking???
Bras are not a good idea. They trap dirt and other stuff under them and actually cause more damage than they prevent.

Re: What were they thinking???
I've seen worse done to these cars. I was looking at the wheels thnking aobut how much I really didn't like them and then i saw it...they say EPIC on them. They must have ment that as EPIC FAIL.

Only the Pearlies and Laguna Blue LSi's had gray leather interiors in 1994. All others were beige. . |
Re: What were they thinking???
There were actually FOUR models in 94. In addition to the above there is an LE model which was the bottom of the line. It did not have ABS breaks, but was pretty much the same as the L except for that. I had a 94 (now my granddaus) LE with a sunroof like that. It was Subaru dealer installed when the car was new and cost quite a bit more than than $99. Actually in some ways I liked it better than the stock. The only problem was a very high speeds (over 100 ;) ) the wind passing over the top would suck it up slightly and you could hear air.
I think this is either an L or LS as the seat pattern is slightly different from my original seats which I changed for a new set of leathers. This is also and earlier model 94 as it has automatic belts and no passenger airbag. He has installed something--probably some weird lights or something--a nonstandard switch on the center console.
