well boys and girls, we made it home safe and sound. it was most excellent to meet everyone in person after so many years. when will i be able to make my hotel reservation for next year? :D

note to self: always remember to refuel the rental car before you get to close to the airport and cannot find a gas station. the car was $6.99 / gallon! :eek:

Holy moly?!?!?! What company did you rent from? When I flew down to Texas it was $1.60 a gallon for the company to refill, at that was just last month. And glad to hear you made it

I made it home. I'm safe.. Car.. Not sooo safe.. Unfortunately.. On my way down on 495 near Alexandria VA... I hit a pot hole... I'm not very happy.. It blew my tire and bent my wheel.. I'm sure my alignment will be screwed too.. I am soooo pissed right now..

Just made it home safe a little while ago. Fairly heavy traffic the whole way back unlike the smooth trip there. Was nice to put some faces to the screen names on the forum and I had a blast. Hopefully I'll be able to get my SVX out there next year.

i rented the car from dollar. i intended to refuel right before the airport, but didn't see a single gas station from the highway in the last 20 miles. had i know this, i could have opted for the prepaid tank of gas or at the pre-agreed rate, both of which were between $2.25 and $2.50. if i fly in next year, i will just top off the tank in morgantown and only have two gallons or so from the car rental place.
