1997 SVX LSi Polo Green - 17K Miles

the day i never thought would come is here. it's time for me to do a major life reset and that includes no longer being able to justify owning and maintaining a car i rarely drive.

State SVX is in: Colorado

Year: 1997

Model: LSi

VIN: JF1CX8659VH100185

Paint Color: Polo Green Pearl

Interior Color: Tan

Miles: 17,360

Location: Littleton, CO (Denver)

Options: None

AWD or FWD: AWD

Modifications: Alpine iPod-ready headunit, still have stock stereo to reinstall.

Major service: Dealer-performed 30K miles service at 15K.

Engine Condition: Excellent, crack on cover.

Maintenance Records: All since I purchased in Feb 2003 w/ 8100 miles.

Transmission condition: Excellent

Glass condition: Good, one less than dime sized crack that's been professionally repaired outside of normal vision area.

Type of tire and remaining tread: Currently has Murano wheels with Kumho Ecsta ASX tires with less than 100 miles on them. Prefer to sell with stock wheels and Yokohama EVS 100 tires with 50% tread remaining.

Type of wheels: Nissan Murano or OEM.

Interior condition: Excellent, small piece of foam is missing from behind center console lid.

Body condition: Good, one minor scratch on driver's door and door dings consistent with a 17k mile car.

Known defects or problems: Security system is inoperable and rear defrost lines were repaired which is noticeable.

Comments about the car: It may appear there are many faults with my car, but they are far less severe than they may sound and do not detract from its beauty.

Asking price: $30,000 OBO

Pictures: Coming soon.

let the discussion commence!

Shocked :O both that your selling and the price (Although it is like brand new only 17k) Good luck with the sell sorry it has to go

It will be a really tough sell to get that asking price. How long are you willing to hold out before entertaining the best offer?

I remember finding an absolutely pristine 1995 L model in Baltimore 3 years ago. This was a 10 year old car with less than 32,000 original miles, perfect in every way and needing nothing!!! Never driven at night or in bad weather.

It was sold to wawazat!! on the network for 20% of your asking price. he flew in on our recommendation to purchase it, sight unseen. The thread is HERE

IMHO your price is right on track, hold out for it, you may have the ONLY almost new 97 Svx left.... and its a POLO!!!:D

Sorry to hear you need to sell. :(

need to sell?!? i didn't say that! by major life reset, i meant i desire to live a more efficient lifestyle. i'm a single guy with an active social life and living 35 miles from the action in a 3300sq ft 4 bedroom 3 bathroom house all by myself doesn't cut in anymore. the plan is to move into a loft in downtown denver and i won't have the space for 4 cars. as much as i love the polo, it is with a heavy heart that i make the decision to let it go.

Ok, then good luck on the sale if it comes to that. :o

i do need to do that. still means the polo needs to go...and then blackie. :(

You know that you will have seller's remorse. You really could rent a place to store the Polo. I store my Claret at the shop, far from the city where parallel parking destroys cars.

well the place i'm looking at has one garage space (there's a larger unit with two garage spaces, but i'm pricing myself out of a home) and i can park one car on the street. perhaps i will end up keeping greenie and billy which means blackie needs to go.

Well, there you go! It's bad enough having to sell one, and I know that if you sell them both you will regret it. :(
