Laguna Blue 1995 Subaru SVX L AWD (NorCal)

1995 Subaru SVX L AWD
137,500 miles
Laguna Blue
located in San Jose, CA
asking $4,500

I am the second owner of the car. I bought the car with a little over 60k

miles on it in 2001.

Stock except for the following items:
- manual gray alcantra seats (replaced the cloth seats)
- leather wrapped gear shift and parking brake
- Hella horns (replacing the stock units)
- Smallcar shift kit
- Kenwood AM/FM cassette stereo (with 10 disk CD-changer in the trunk)
- professional window tint (52% - a light-medium tint)
- K&N drop-in air filter
- SVX Motorsport Warehouse front floor mats with SVX Alcyone logo

Here are the things that have been done to the car recently:
- new Optima Redtop battery (1 year old)
- new Bridgestone RE950A performance all-season tires (3k miles on them)
- new (not remaned) Subaru transmission installed by Subaru dealership (at

about 100k)
- full 120k service including timing belt
- replaced all pulley tensioners at 120k

I recently had the roof, spoiler and rear side pods professionally repainted as they were beginning to fade. The rest of the paint is in fairly decent shape for the age and miles. The hood has the standard paint chips from 13 years of driving. I have touched them up as best I could. The front bumper could probably use a repaint as it has more chips out of it then I would prefer, but I will leave that to the discretion of the new owner.

One other thing to know is that the original owner had the engine block crack at 50k. It was replaced with a new engine by Subaru under the Gold extended warranty he had. So the engine has quite a few less miles than the rest of the car. That combined with the fairly new transmission should make for a car that will be less likely to have engine/tranny problems than cars of similar mileage.

I know people want to see pics so I snapped some quick ones. They are not great pics due to the sun going down. I will take better ones this weekend and post them too.

Please contact me with any questions.

Who said anything about needing another one? It's more a matter of affording another one I think...

I wish I could hold onto it. The little woman wants to sell her Forester and get a small fun car (Mini or Volvo C30). My other car is completely impractical (convertible) so we bought a Saab 9-2X Aero (aka Subaru WRX wagon) for our "practical" car. That leaves me with one car too many. We decided the SVX must go.

The price listed in the first post is the same as I have it up for on Craigslist. I would be happy to sell the SVX for less to someone who will keep her in good shape (i.e. you guys here on the board).

price lowered to $4,900 OBO.

The car was bought by me from the first owner in New Mexico. It has resided in sunny California ever since. No spec of rust. Let me know if you have any questions.

I can help with having it shipped but it would probably be cheaper to fly in and drive it home. Nebraska is not that far away. :D

Unfortunately I don't have the time to fly out and drive home. Looks like a great car though.
