select monitor question

I recently bought a gen-1 Select Monitor (the tall blue rectangle one) and I have a few questions about it for those in the know.

1. Does anyone know what the part numbers are for the various SVX cartridges?
2. Do you have to use a different cartridge for different year SVX's?
3. Do the newer generations of Select Monitor use cartridges and if so are they interchangeable between generations?

Any Help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Jay

svxfiles has one and has the cartridges. He may be able to help you with that. :)

Thanks guys for the replies. Maybe svxfiles will see this post and reply. if I don't hear from him in a bit I'll send him a PM or something :-)

I'm also quite interested in b3lha's ongoing work with the laptop monitoring of the SVX ECU in conjunction with the VWRX s/w etc.

I have been looking at some software that can be used in a laptop computer and moniter using it. It is around $300 or so and if I get it figured out, I will post where it is available and prices. :)

I hope your laptop solution works better than what GM/Subaru provided us('Essential Tool', which means 'You don't have a choice. We send it and you pay for it!') It's a horrible POS, 'live' readings only refresh about every 7-8 seconds and, IMHO, a $39 scanner from Harbor Freight or K-Mart would be better. Even our OEM online workshop manuals suck. Haynes or Clymer write better, more informative manuals than what we have at the dealer level, at least when it comes to 9-2x.
