FWD fuse while driving

What are the consequences of removing/inserting the FWD fuse while the car is in motion? Don't expect anyone has tried, but from a technical standpoint would it be damaging?

The centre clutch would be suddenly disengaging and engaging. There could be shock loads imposed and it would not be desirable.
