Hello Peter
You are welcome to the Forum. Tell us a little about your car. You say '92 RHD. Is it UK model? Or is it originally Japanese? What colour is it? Thanks Joe:) |

The car is originally coming from Japan, and is later exported to England. The colour of the car is black. I bought the car just to use the engine. best regards, Peter |
Thanks Peter
One of the guys on here needs a headlight. His one is UK with the glass lamps, while the JDM ones have plastic lamps that do not have the inner third foglight. He might still be interested in your headlamp I would say. Joe:) |

As a matter of interest, my JDM has plastic headlights with integral fog lamps. Trevor, ;) |

The headlight isn't from glass but it's made off plastic. Still interested? Peter |
Hi Peter,
Yes still interested, as it will be good until I can find glass one. Please let me know a postage cost and I can make you an offer? Or tell me your price etc. Thanks John john.clark@animal.co.uk |
Hi Peter,
Please can you let me know asap as I have found a left hand drive headlight (also plastic) which i will buy if there is any difficulty for you to send it to the UK. Thanks John |

Welcome to the site David. I've been away a few days [buying SVX parts !! :D ], and I have just noticed your post about glass colour. Phil is correct, your Euro car will not follow US convention for glass colours. Huck also is correct with the method for checking your colour. I would disagree slightly with Phil about available glass colours. Not counting later clear glass Japanese ones, I have owned 3 cars with three, not two, different glass colours. The first one was a JDM '91 car, black over claret. This came with a relatively dark tint, which was green. The front screen had a sunshine band across the top, which showed blue at the lower lighter edge, so maybe some people think of this glass as blue because of this. It's not. The tint on all the rest of the windows was a strong green. [Just for clarity, can you post a pic of your car? Is it the light red with black roof, or do you call the very dark claret a red??] My second car is an English black car, with bronze glass. This is my least favoured glass colour. You can only tell it is bronze because the sunshine band in the windsreen has a brown lower edge. The tint is practically non-existent. My latest is a JDM '94 car. This has a very definite blue colour, pretty light tint, half the density of the green. I would describe it as being almost violet in tint. So which is yours? Is it the opening glass you need, or the bonded-on upper door part? I know where we can get windows for you, but you need to be sure of the colour. Joe:) :) :) |

thanks for the welcoming...and hope you go the parts you needed ;) I will check the glass colour within a few days or so. Had to leave it at my at my parents home (or city rahter) to get it fixed after the break-in. It is the opening glass that is broken and if I could get help with getting one I'd be most thankful. My email is flygkapten@hotmail.com. I'll get back with the color asap. Thanks for all the help. /Dave Red '92. |
OK Dave
When you come back with the colour, we can see who has glass that will suit. If the colour is the dark green tint, it will be more problematic. UK cars come mostly with the bronze tint. If you need the darker green, the window will have to come off a JDM [Japaneses market] import. It is, however, far more likely that your Euro car will follow local glass colour conventions. In your case I would be expecting bronze. Let me know ASAP, and I will try and connect you with a seller. Just clarify one point; when you say passenger door, do you mean the left hand side door? Or the right hand side? Joe:) |
