FS: '92 LS-L Liquid Silver One Owner Reman Trans

I picked up a very nice 92 SVX back a few months ago. It was a one owner car owned by a Lady doctor near Pittsburgh. The vehicle was originally bought in Florida and spent a few years down there. You can certainly tell by looking at it that she kept it in a garage and it does not look like it has seen winter (although I have no proof to back that up).

I chose the car because it had a solid history. I have access to view any warranty claim history (for any Subaru vehicle) and I will list what has been done below.

It is in very nice condition. The paint shines. There have been a few touch ups on the rear bumper cover and to be perfect (would need to be painted) although the vehicle still has a very sharp appearance as is. Tires are all more than half tread and all match. All accessories work including the original CD player and auto up/down window switch. The original SVX floor mats are included and even the driver's side stitching is intact. The carpet is stain and tear free. It was a non smoking car. Driver's seat shows minor cracking and wear (as most do).

Mechanically it is sound. I removed the resonator and had a straight piece of stainless steel welded in. This was due to a baffle in the resonator letting go (as most do). The brakes are all like new, and appear to have been recently replaced. The transmission was replaced with a reman in the history. It shifts as it is was just replaced. I use to work for a Subaru dealer and drove a few SVXs that got remanufactured transmissions.

I may also convert this one to a 5spd. I did it once before and the gentleman who bought it was from Massachusettes and was very pleased.

If I was to do this swap. I would give the buyer their choice of a Spec Stage (2,3,4). It would be complete with a 4.11:1 ratio and LSD. The exhaust would be aftermarket (MotorsportSVX exhaust kit). I bought his exhaust kit for my last 5spd swap project and was very pleased.

Turn around time would be 2-3 weeks. Price would be $7,000 firm. I sold my last project for $6,500 and it was no where as clean as this one and did not have a solid history like this one does.

Delivery for the car right now or after a swap can be arranged. I've delivered quite a few cars to people who have bought them from me. All it will cost you is a return plane ticket and gas money. If I get there and the car is not what I have said it is - you would not be committed to purchasing it....although out of almost 20 cars I have never had any problems.

Do you have any pics you can post of it?

I'll get pictures up as soon as the weather breaks and I can clean it up. Although, its your basic SVX that is silver in color with the black roof and trunk. It does NOT have the spoiler. It does have the "Subaru SVX" decals behind the back windows.

I also forgot to mention. This one does not have the usualy 100 door dings that most SVXs have. Its the first out of 7 that I have owned without door dings. I should also mention that the doors are original and have not had any repair. The Lady owner obviously loved the car enough to park it away from everyone else and garage it.

Dustin, drop me a PM you still owe me.

IwantaSVX 09-27-2006 12:24 PM

Michael, drop me an email or PM regarding what this is about with a number or method of contact. Actually, send me a PM because my junk email filter sometimes doesn't like certain addresses.

Still waiting, please get back to me.
