Ebay Mint Condition 1994 LSi SVX, no bids....

Any reason no one has put bids on it? It looks nice, but the one thing im wondering about is why was it completely restored? I think either it was in an accident... or had the usual SVX problems (tranny, bearings, etc..) Oh well if I would have read it before I started to post this, the tranny was replaced. Actually A LOT has been replaced. Anyone on this network look into this car? It just seems odd that it has no bids, and looks like a pretty nice SVX. ~Dennis

Here is the link to it..

:D I am the one who posted this car. I put it up on our network in midsummer and got no reponses. Also put it up on Autotrader with the same results in Sept so I decided to try Ebay. My passions for this car (my third SVX) got the better of my rational mind and I became consumed with doing it right. Fooloish me and lucky for someone else if it works out. As I noted I am retiring in Feb 06 and do not need 3 AWD vehicles. Just downsizing expenses. There are 36 "Watchers" tracking this and I hope bids will pop tomorrow night when this closes. :D :D

I think the starting bid scares people a little. Figure most of the people who e bay expect to get things at least 1/3rd the cost of what they are worth. Best of luck selling the car, its BEUTIFULL!

Good luck with the sale! Beautiful car!!!!! :)

I emailed you from ebay before i read the 2nd post, but only in a friendly, non-bidder way. Good luck w/ it.

I love that color, as well as Claret, I miss my 92 LS-L :( :(

Yeah, I'm one of your "watchers". The starting price is causing a little sticker shock I would assume. This is in no means saying the car isn't worth it. Especially all that you did to it. wow!! You've done a lot! :)

NOT 1 BID. It just closed on Ebay. I don't get it. Guess I will keep for the winter and run it instead of my Volvos. It still is fun to drive. I thought the price was low for what I have done to it.

Any suggestions on how to help sell it without giving it away by lowering the price?

You could always relist it with a reserve. Make the reserve your lowest bottom price that you'd accept.

Good luck

Take *several* pics of everything from the interior, engine bay, trunk and body and relist it at a lower starting price with a lower reserve. ;)

P.S. Btw, take all the fluids and stuff out of your car before taking pics. Also, get some carpet stain remover and clean the rear trunk mat.

Hey someone put a bid on the car finally, $4994 to donsmithaz on ebay, hopefully she's going to go to a good owner. ~Dennis

Ebay Mint Condition 1994 LSi SVX,SOLD

:) Finally sold my car. Naturally some regrets that I am giving it up but the right thing to do. Buyer appears to be a good one and will make a good home. We are finalizing details of payment and a trip out from AZ to NJ for him to pick it up Xmas week. This will make a very nice Xmas for his son.

I will stay in the club for awhile at least and follow what goes on.

Thanks to all for the encouragement to relist. I learned a lot about ebay procedures and rules of their road in my first ever listing. :D :D :D

Glad it worked out. Let the new owner know we are here. :)
