Just some belly-aching...

Dayle's post about favorite driving roads made me look back at my Yahoo! briefcase for my VT meet preview photos. I hadn't seen those photos in some time, but looking at them nearly brought tears to my eyes. I miss Vermont so much...

But I'm also glad that so many showed up so that I could share a little bit of what I loved about Vermont with you. A few even stuck around for a second day, and we had a great time driving through the mountains amd then the Stowe area.

I had to leave Vermont about two months after that event, so the meet will not only be one of my last memories of Vermont, but also one of my favorites.

I'm going to do another meet someday. I wanted to do a fall thing in Northern Michigan, but my employer had other plans. Namely, firing me.

By the way, I put those VT preview photos in my locker.

Hmm... I've got a few pics in my locker under "Burlington Meet". ;)

Ha! I had no idea that there was a photo of me on anybody's locker here.

Thanks for pointing those out.

Just checked my locker, and I never did put my photo's in there. I'll have to fix that.
Vermont was my first meet, and also one of my favorites. Well worth the 2,200 mile round trip.

Vermont was my first meet also. The wife and I enjoyed Vermont so much,we have taken three vacations there, and plan on going back again in the future.:)

I'm thinking that I might do another similar meet. I just haven't decided where yet, so it'll probably be next fall after I've gotten a chance to explore a little. Norther Wisconsin...southeast towards actual mountains...not sure yet.

I'm sure it has gone down in Irene's book with mixed emotions. But, what the heck, she got a free T-Shirt out of the deal. And so did I. :D

NOTE: Pearlywhites gave free T-shirts to all who got tickets on their trip to the Vermont meet.

Boone,

I just looked at the photos in your locker. I can't figure why I'm the only one not smiling in the picture. Also, I think that you should re-title that photo as "Pockets & Pals" or "Cube & Company". At least put Nick & Amber in the title.

I have fond memories of that Meet also. I especially liked the "Forty Miles of Bad Road." It's a good thing we came to it in the daylight.
